The role of cybersecurity law for sustainability of innovative smart homes (Goal 9)

Abstract: 

The article discusses the “role of cybersecurity law” in promoting the “sustainability and innovation of smart homes”. By regulating the design, implementation, and use of smart home technologies, smart homes can protect against cybersecurity threats such as data breaches and unauthorized access. The article also identifies some key areas for improvement in cybersecurity law and policy for smart homes. Considering the unique features of smart homes, such as the interconnectedness of devices, use of personal data, and potential for physical harm, the authors create a framework that emphasizes accountability, privacy security, and design security. Additionally, the framework stresses that stakeholders, such as the government, industry, and consumers, should work together to protect smart homes from cyber attacks.
