Development of a new ‘human cyber-resilience scale’

Abstract:

The paper focuses on the cyber-resiliency of an individual, and how to develop a model to measure it. The authors started with a variety of resilience scales and looked at five other studies to determine the resilience of the individual. The paper also introduces a scale of resilience: self-efficacy, social support, learning and growth, and helplessness. The social support and helplessness factor is more unique to the individual level, and they play a major role in the resilience of the individual. The authors hope that the scale would be able to inform people and rate intervention programs.
