Cyber security meets security politics: Complex technology, fragmented politics, and networked science

Abstract:

With cyber attacks becoming more threating and cyber issues becoming increasingly politicized, the amount of research and studies in the cyber domain are building up. The article explores the history and evolution of this research. They identify driving factors behind the developing cyber field and its accompanied body of research. This study is then used to extrapolate fields of future research in the cyber domain and make assumptions about what roles policy and technology will play in the cyber domain.
