Cyber Security: Global Food Supply Chain at Risk from Malicious Hackers

Abstract:

The global food supply chain is a delicate, interconnected system that has profound effects on everyone across the world. In recent years, smart technology has taken over the roles of previous hand labor, making farms more productive and efficient, while creating vulnerabilities for hackers to exploit in the food chain. With no company being immune to ransomware attacks or hacking, this article is a call to action for companies producing food to continue investing in security.
