This article discusses the growth of technology in Africa, and how cybersecurity has not grown with it. The article states that 90% of African businesses are operating without cybersecurity protocols in place. It is true that these businesses are under attack as well, as several countries have had significant financial losses due to cyber attacks. The article then goes on to discuss how cybersecurity measures are starting to be implemented, particularly in Kenya. Finally, the article concludes by stating how once Africa figures out how to adequately implement cybersecurity measures, they will have access to a larger global market.
