Ukraine’s Ukrzaliznytsia railway operator hit by cyberattack; ticket system disrupted sparking long queues

Abstract:

This article was about a cyber attack on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure, specifically on a rail-line. Luckily for Ukraine, the attack was more on the ticketing side of the infrastructure rather than on the actual functioning of the trains, but it was still a major problem for many in the country (and it is a distraction from the war). While it was majorly inconvenient, the article talks about how this is not Ukraine’s first rodeo as it pertains to cyber attacks on their rail infrastructure, so their cyber resilience is pretty high and they have procedures in place to get everything back online and working in short order.
