This proposed legislation contains a sweeping slate of policies aimed at bolstering the competitiveness of the United States, with a number of provisions relevant for cybersecurity. For instance, the bill proposes resources aimed at higher education to prevent cyber theft, updates and audits to the cybersecurity of NASA, cybersecurity partnerships between the U.S. and states in the Indo-Pacific, improved cybersecurity for journalism, as well as banning the use of TikTok on government devices. This bill makes clear the steps the U.S. is taking to try to advance the state of both civilian and government cybersecurity.
