Israel’s security centers itself on early warning, decisive victories on the battlefield, deterrence of conflict, and defense of the home front. Due to other pressing matters including terrorism, missile strikes, and Iran’s nuclear program, cyber threats are not approached with the same fear in Israel than in other western nations, however there is still a comprehensive approach in place that governs national cyber defense. This approach includes the establishment of the Israel National Cyber Bureau, the National Cyber Security Agency, the Computer Emergency Response Team, and the Israel National Cyber Directorate, as well as establishing the role and responsibilities of the IDF in the cyber domain.
