This report, published annually by the FBI, aggregates data about suspected cyber crimes in both the U.S. and globally. According to the report, there have been 791,790 reported cyber crimes in 2020, amounting to damages of over $4.2 billion. The report contains additional information on reported cyber crimes by type (i.e. phishing, identity theft, extortion, etc), country, demographic of victim, and U.S. state. This report is relevant to understanding the current scope and geographic spread of cyber crimes.
