Inoculating the Masses: Evaluating Cybersecurity Awareness Training

Abstract:

There exist countless technical solutions to defend against cybercrime. However, these technical solutions do not protect against the most common attack vector: humans. While large organizations have the resources to train their employees to spot and evade phishing emails and threats, most of the population does not have access to such training. This study evaluates free training opportunities and compares them against common attacks against humans.
