On March 2, 2023, the Biden-Harris Administration announces a “National Cybersecurity Strategy” to protect Americans in the cyberspace. The strategy aims to increase collaboration between government agencies and the private sector by enhancing the security of critical infrastructure and utilizing national power to “dismantle threat actors”. Additionally, the United States government plans to invest in and promote secure digital technology while developing a more educated cyber workforce. Finally, the US will be partnering with foreign nations to prepare, respond, and develop countermeasures to combat threats in the digital ecosystem. The strategy plans to increase funds for cybersecurity research and development as well as improve cybersecurity standards for government contractors.
