CYBER GOVERNANCE CODE OF PRACTICE: UK PUBLISHES DRAFT CODE AND CALLS FOR VIEWS

Abstract:

The UK government unveiled its draft of the Cybersecurity Governance Code of Practice, aiming to strengthen the nation’s cyber resilience by empowering businesses to adopt robust security measures. It outlines the key principles that emphasize risk management, cyber strategy, people, incident planning and response, and assurance and oversight. By following these guidelines, the authors suggest that businesses can build strong cyber defenses, can manage risks, and can contribute to a secure national cyberspace. They further add that they are seeking feedback on the code where the goal is to make cyber security a priority for businesses and to ensure they have a plan to respond to cyber incidents.
