Modern cybersecurity methods often involve increasing authentication layers, complicating protocols and decreasing ease of use. Modern cybersecurity threats call for the implementation of AI, as it can help maintain ease of use while increasing cybersecurity against more evolving threats that often use AI principles themselves. Bayesian algorithms can be implemented to match or even exceed the security provided by current methods, and may have been successful defenses against Cross Site Scripting (XSS) and Cross Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks. AI can deviate away from relying on pre programmed knowledge, which is often reactive to previous attacks. It can anticipate attacks and recognize weaknesses more efficiently and quickly than a human, and even benefit web application security, as it has some overlapping concerns with industrial software security.
