AICyber-Chain: Combining AI and Blockchain for Improved Cybersecurity

Abstract:

The paper explores the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing cybersecurity, focusing on its ability to analyze large datasets in real time to detect threats. Despite its potential, AI faces challenges related to privacy, security, and the decentralization of data. As cybercriminals evolve, traditional cybersecurity solutions struggle to keep up. To address these issues, the paper introduces the AICyber-Chain model, which leverages blockchain technology to securely store, process, and share data. The model integrates three key components: blockchain-based data sharing for clear ownership and real-time access, AI to improve trustworthiness in cyberspace, and financial incentives for data sharing. The paper demonstrates the model’s effectiveness through a simulation on Ethereum’s Rinkeby test network, showing a 1.8x speed improvement in authentication and a 20-25% reduction in gas costs compared to centralized models. This work provides a practical, scalable solution for securing large-scale internet environments and offers insights for researchers and practitioners in AI and cybersecurity.
