AI technology enables Web3’s decentralized ecosystem to be smarter and more efficient, bringing more autonomy and user sovereignty. In particular, AI’s powerful analytic ability and unique creativity can enhance three key elements of Web3: DAOs (Decentralized Autonomous Organizations), NFTs (Non-fungible Tokens), and DeFi (Decentralized Finance). By its data-driven approach, AI technology can optimize these existing systems and make them more flexible and efficient, leading to better user experience and more data privacy security. Meanwhile, there are concerns about user sovereignty over AI’s data usage, complexity of technical integration, and contradictory balance of governing principles between AI and Web3, while emerging and future technology advancements are expected to address these issues (e.g., zero-knowledge proofs).
