AI-fueled cybercrime may outpace traditional defenses, Check Point warns

Abstract:

This article starts off by highlighting the dangers of using AI, specifically for companies because AI could potentially leak classified company secrets, user data and other sensitive information. This makes the company more vulnerable to data breaches because if a company uses a third-party AI, the data may be stored elsewhere and shared with a third-party, making it more susceptible to be hacked. AI has also become a prominent tool for hackers, especially with open-source software with barely any user restrictions. The author argues that if AI is being used offensively by cybercriminals, corporations should start incorporating AI in their defense against these cybercriminals because that’s the only way these organizations can keep up with AI powered cyberattacks.
