Cybersecurity governance is the technique used to maintain cyber integrity in an organization. To properly develop cybersecurity governance, one must provide training to employees, set up accountability, make cybersecurity one of the objectives of the organization, and create a feedback process. Cyber security governance is essential for companies to succeed in carrying out their mission because it helps prevent adversaries from sabotaging projects, employees, and daily operations. Promoting cybersecurity, however, tends to be harder for many companies. Due to lack of standards and perhaps lack of resources, a company may not be able to fully implement proper cybersecurity measures (cybersecurity is expensive, but is way cheaper than a cyber breach). Overall, however, it is imperative that top management sets up cybersecurity governances to protect its customers and employees alike.
