Cybersecurity Legislation 2021

Abstract:

In the past years, especially after the eruption of the COVID pandemic, cybersecurity risks have been increasing as the ways of operation of the workforce, institutions and businesses have been affected dramatically. Now, cyber attack has become a priority for multiple state lawmakers. The website summarizes the legislations of each American state announced in 2021 on cybersecurity, providing a clear overview and guideline of the most recent US governmental efforts in ensuring cybersecurity. As of now, at least 45 states and Puerto Rico have introduced or considered more than 250 bills and/or resolutions on various aspects of cybersecurity.
