This story is a continuation of many other stories about the federal government and the Trump Administration where people at the highest echelons of the agencies as well as the rank and file have been resigning and have been fired en masse. CISA has been a specific target of President Trump and his administration because they disagreed with him about the 2020 election being hacked or stolen, but election security is only a slice of their job, they also help significantly with private and public sector job security. Secure by Design seems like a smart idea because building cybersecurity into products at the very end of the process seems like a problem that countries or private hacking groups can exploit. With these officials eliminated, cybersecurity in private sector devices will become less of a focus of the administration.
