The Missing Case of Disinformation from the Cybersecurity Risk Continuum

This study examines disinformation as a cybersecurity threat, analyzing various cybersecurity manuals and literature to determine whether disinformation meets the criteria for classification as a cyber threat. The authors argue that disinformation should be recognized as an official cyber threat and discuss its implications for cybersecurity policies. The paper contributes to improving misinformation countermeasures in cybersecurity frameworks.
