The knowledge architecture is applicable to a wide range of issues and problems characterized by uncertainty, complexity, and contextual diversity. This application consists of specifying a set of interconnected, multi-dimensional relationships among actors, levels, and units.
Each substantive domain can be differentiated by:
- Domains: Defining domain specific features;
- Dimensions: Covering activities, as well as problems & solutions;
- Cells: Representing the intersections of particular dimensions and domains;
- Concepts: Referring to key sub-topics or subjects within each cell.
The knowledge architecture is integrated by a connectivity logic. This logic provides the indexing system for search and retrieval – as shown below at a conceptual level.
